Growers' tales told
The Sons of the Soil book launch was held in the Pukekohe Library on Wednesday afternoon.
Authors Ruth Lam and Lily Lee addressed more than 50 people in attendance before presenting local groups with a copy of the hardcover book.
Sons of the Soil tells the stories of more than 100 Chinese men and women from market gardening communities all around New Zealand, covering the social and community history spanning more than 140 years.
