THE RELIEF FUND. The digital scans of the PapersPast website are good at "reading" the Victorian-era newspapers but they sometimes misread some letters. This can be a problem when you're searching for Chinese names. In this list "Sow Hoy" should really be "Sew Hoy": Choie Sew Hoy, the Dunedin merchant.
